Bring the book to the circulation desk, and tell the staff member your carrel number.  A colored slip will be placed inside the book.  Make sure the number corresponding to your assigned carrel is clearly written on the slip, the slip is securely inserted in the book, and the book is placed neatly on your carrel shelf.  This colored slip alerts library staff that the book is properly checked out to your carrel.  Law books left on carrel shelves which are not properly checked out, or do not contain a colored slip indicating that they are properly checked out, may be reshelved without notice.
