If an item isn't available at Harvard, you can try to order it via Borrow Direct or Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

Borrow Direct allows you to borrow books directly from other Ivy libraries. It can be faster than ILL, but searches a smaller pool of libraries.

Interlibrary Loan allows you to borrow books and get copies of articles from a wide range of non-Harvard libraries. It can take longer than Borrow Direct, but searches many more libraries for holdings.

Details about these services and how to submit a request can be found at the Harvard Get It services page.
