Check our guide to Finding Materials at the Harvard Law School Library to be sure that you've checked the correct area of the stacks.
Some call numbers are shelved in multiple places in the library. Check for location codes (e.g. Reference, Special Collections, Harvard Depository) that will indicate where the item is kept. Ask a Librarian if you're not sure where to look.
If you've checked in the right place, but the book still isn't there, submit a search request.
We will search for the book and get back to you within 48 hours with the item or with other options.
